Baseball Recap: Four Straight Home Wins for Glendora

It may have taken nine innings to finish the job, but Glendora ultimately got the result they hoped for on Saturday. They skirted past the Claremont Wolfpack 2-1. Give some credit to the fans of both teams: the last three times they've met, the home team has come away the winner.

Tanner Grable tossed a big game, not allowing a single earned run while striking out six over 4.2 innings pitched. He has been consistent : he hasn't given up more than two walks any time he's pitched this season.

On the hitting side, Glendora saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Mason Danison, who scored a run and stole a base while going 1-for-4.

Glendora pushed their record up to 11-7 with the win, which was their fourth straight at home. The home victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.3 runs on average over those games. As for Claremont, they now have a losing record of 8-9-1.

Looking ahead, Glendora will take on Silverado at 3:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Claremont, they will square off against Bishop Amat at 3:15 p.m. on Wednesday. The Lancers will roll in looking for their fourth straight win, something the Wolfpack surely won't give up without a fight.
