Baseball Recap: Flowing Wells' Losing Streak Snapped at Five Games

Flowing Wells had to endure a five-game losing streak, but that streak is no more. They were the clear victors by a 12-2 margin over the Pueblo Warriors on Tuesday. This was payback for the Caballeros, who suffered an 11-1 defeat the last time these two teams met.

Yandel Rios-Arvayo was excellent, scoring a run and stealing two bases while going 2-for-3. He is becoming a predictor of Flowing Wells' success: when he posts at least two stolen bases the team is undefeated (and 4-16-1 when he doesn't). Tommy Padilla was another key player, scoring two runs while going 1-for-3.

Flowing Wells always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .552. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Pueblo only posted an OBP of .391.

Flowing Wells' victory was their first in the region, bumping their region record up to 1-5 and their overall record up to 7-16-1. As for Pueblo, they are on a ten-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-13.

Flowing Wells will have a chance to go back-to-back against the Warriors: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday.
