Unity Christian faced Rockford in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Wednesday. The Crusaders' defense stepped up to hand the Rams a 1-0 shutout. Winning may never get old, but Unity Christian sure are getting used to it with their seventh in a row.

Unity Christian's win was their fourth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 16-0-2. Those road victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 23 goals over those four contests. As for Rockford, their loss ended a seven-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 11-2-2.

Coming up, Unity Christian will challenge Zeeland East at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Rockford does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
