Baseball Recap: Kent City Comes Up Short

Kent City was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their 11th straight defeat. They were two runs away from ending the streak, but they lost a 3-1 heartbreaker at the hands of the Fremont Packers. If the Eagles were looking for revenge after losing 3-0 to the Packers when the teams met back in April of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Kent City saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Aaron Vanderwest, who went 1-for-2 with one stolen base and one run.

Kent City's loss dropped their record down to 9-20. As for Fremont, the victory (which was their fifth in a row) raised their record to 15-13.

Kent City does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Fremont, they will challenge Tri County Area at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday.
