Baseball Game Preview: Golden Gate Titans vs. Naples Golden Eagles

Golden Gate is 0-10 against Naples since February of 2016 but things could change on Friday. The Golden Gate Titans will square off against the Naples Golden Eagles at 7:00 p.m. Golden Gate has given up an average of 8.4 runs per game this season, so hopefully the team got some pitching drills in this week.

Golden Gate fell victim to Barron Collier and their airtight pitching crew on Thursday. They came up short against the Cougars, falling 16-0. The home team had taken home the W every time these teams have met since March 5, 2024, but that streak is no more.

Meanwhile, Naples came up short against Island Coast on Wednesday and fell 8-3.

Naples saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was NICO BLANCO, who scored a run while going 1-for-3.

Golden Gate's defeat dropped their record down to 4-10. As for Naples, their loss dropped their record down to 6-9.

Golden Gate suffered a grim 14-4 defeat to Naples in their previous meeting back in February. Can Golden Gate avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
