Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Le Grand). They put the hurt on the Stone Ridge Christian Knights with a sharp 29-1 victory on Thursday. The win continues a trend for the Bulldogs in their matchups with the Knights: they've now won six in a row.

Jose Manzo made a splash while hitting and pitching. On the mound, he struck out eight batters over five innings while giving up just one earned run off one hit. Manzo was also big at the plate, scoring three runs and stealing two bases while going 3-for-4.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Diego Martinez, who scored six runs and stole four bases while going 5-for-6. He is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as he's now snagged at least one in each of the last four games he's played. Another player making a difference was Johnathan Benavidez, who got on base in five of his six plate appearances with seven RBI, two runs, and two doubles.

Le Grand's victory was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 6-3. The wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 13.3 runs over those games. As for Stone Ridge Christian, they are on an eight-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-4.
