Softball Preview: Central Arkansas Christian Mustangs vs. Mt. Vernon-Enola Warhawks
The Central Arkansas Christian Mustangs are taking a road trip to face off against the Mt. Vernon-Enola Warhawks at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The last three games Central Arkansas Christian has played have been within two runs, so don't be surprised if it's a close one.
On Monday, Central Arkansas Christian narrowly escaped with a victory as the team sidled past Bigelow 3-2. That's two games straight that the Mustangs have won by just one run.

Kayla Myers was a major factor no matter where she played. She struck out seven batters over seven innings while giving up just one earned (and one unearned) run off seven hits. She has been consistent recently: she hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts in four consecutive appearances. She was also solid in the batter's box, scoring two runs and stealing a base while going 3-for-3.
In other batting news, Hannah Hughes was excellent, going 2-for-3 with one triple and one run. Those two hits gave her a new career-high. Alyssa Jansen was another key player, going 2-for-4 with one double and one RBI.
Meanwhile, Mt. Vernon-Enola beat Wonderview 7-3 on Monday. The Warhawks haven't had any issues with the Daredevils recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive win against them.
Central Arkansas Christian's victory was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 4-8. They've had to fight for that success though, as they only beat their opponents by an average of one runs across that stretch. As for Mt. Vernon-Enola, the win got them back to even at 9-9.
