University Charter suffered their biggest defeat since March 9, 2024 on Friday. They lost 12-4 to the Pickens Academy Pirates. The Trail Blazers' loss signaled the end of their five-game winning streak.

Jonah Dubose made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and scored a run while getting on base in three of his four plate appearances. Will Fitz-Gerald also deserves some recognition as he snagged his first stolen base of the season.

University Charter's defeat dropped their record down to 6-5. As for Pickens Academy, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 4-3.

Coming up, University Charter will head out to challenge Hale County at 1:00 p.m. on March 15th. As for Pickens Academy, they will take on White County in a tournament on Monday. Pickens Academy is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 7.3 runs per game this season.
