Softball Recap: Jasper Falls Short Against Ranked Lockwood

Jasper faced Lockwood in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Friday. Jasper came up short against Lockwood, falling 13-1. The loss continues a trend for the Eagles in their meetings with the Tigers: they've now lost four in a row.

Jasper saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Emersyn Bass, who scored a run and stole a base while going 1-for-2.

Jasper now has a losing record of 3-4. As for Lockwood, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 6-2.

We've got plenty of inter-district action coming up soon. Jasper is set to face off against their familiar foe Greenfield at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. Meanwhile, Lockwood will take on rival Miller at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
