Soccer Recap: Charter Oak Comes Up Short

Charter Oak was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their sixth straight loss. They were a single goal away from ending the streak, but they lost a 1-0 heartbreaker at the hands of the Covina Colts. While losing is never fun, the Chargers can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' California soccer rankings (they are ranked 1002nd, while the Colts are ranked 296th).

Charter Oak's defeat dropped their record down to 1-11-1. As for Covina, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 7-2-2.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Charter Oak will welcome West Covina at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Covina, they will host Wilson at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
