Basketball Recap: Edison Takes a Loss

Edison was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their fifth straight loss. They were three points away from ending the streak, but they lost a 51-48 heartbreaker at the hands of the East Canton Hornets. The Wildcats lost against the Hornets in their previous head to head back in February of 2024, too, but the margin this time around was much closer than the 72-21 score last time.

Edison's defeat dropped their record down to 3-8. As for East Canton, they pushed their record up to 6-5 with the win, which was their fourth straight on the road.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Edison will take on Harrison Central at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for East Canton, they and Medina Christian Academy will face off at 7:00 p.m. on Saturday without much rest having both just played.
