Basketball Game Preview: McKay Royal Scots vs. West Albany Bulldogs

McKay hasn't had much luck against West Albany recently, but that could start to change on Tuesday. The McKay Royal Scots will face off against the West Albany Bulldogs at 5:30 p.m.

McKay is headed into Tuesday's contest looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their seventh straight game on Friday. They had to suffer through a 68-18 loss at the hands of South Albany. While losing is never fun, the Royal Scots can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Oregon basketball rankings (they are ranked 216th, while the Redhawks are ranked 21st).

Meanwhile, West Albany hadn't done well against Corvallis recently (they were 2-7 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Friday. West Albany took down Corvallis 73-58.

West Albany has been performing well recently as they've won seven of their last nine matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 14-6 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 64.8 points over those games. As for McKay, their loss dropped their record down to 2-17.

McKay took a serious blow against West Albany when the teams last played back in January, falling 74-35. Can McKay avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
