Baseball Game Preview: North Valley Baptist Bulldogs vs. Design Tech Dragons

For the second straight game, North Valley Baptist will face off against Design Tech. The Bulldogs will host the Dragons at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. North Valley Baptist is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 8.5 runs per game this season.

Tuesday just wasn't the day for North Valley Baptist's offense. They lost 10-0 to Design Tech on Tuesday. The Bulldogs haven't had much luck with the Dragons recently, as the team has come up short the last eight times they've met.

For Design Tech's part, they let Aidan Tom and Declan Larkin run wild. Tom scored three runs and stole two bases while going 3-for-4, while Larkin scored two runs and stole three bases while going 4-for-4. Design Tech always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .632. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as North Valley Baptist only posted an OBP of .111.

Design Tech has been performing well recently as they've won six of their last eight contests. That's provided a massive bump to their 7-6 record this season. Those wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 7.9 runs over those games. As for North Valley Baptist, their defeat dropped their record down to 3-3.

Friday's match will be a test for both teams' pitchers. North Valley Baptist hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .355. However, it's not like Design Tech struggles in that department as they've averaged .340. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
