Baseball Game Preview: Archbishop McCarthy Mavericks vs. True North Classical Academy Titans

The Archbishop McCarthy Mavericks are taking a road trip to challenge the True North Classical Academy Titans at 3:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Archbishop McCarthy's pitching crew has only allowed 3.2 runs per game this season, so True North Classical Academy's hitters will have their work cut out for them.

On Monday, Archbishop McCarthy got the win against South Broward by a conclusive 8-1. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Mavericks.

Archbishop McCarthy saw six different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Chris Cassino, who went 1-for-2 with one stolen base, one run, and one RBI. Another was Nestor Herrera, who got on base in two of his four plate appearances with one stolen base and one run.

True North Classical Academy came out on top against Southridge on Friday thanks in part to the team's impressive five-run seventh inning. The Titans walked away with a 6-2 victory over the Spartans.

William Foss looked comfortable as he tossed three innings while giving up just one earned run off four hits.

True North Classical Academy's record is now 2-0. As for Archbishop McCarthy, the win got them back to even at 2-2.
