Volleyball Recap: Hitchcock Bulldogs vs. Brazos Cougars

Hitchcock was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They came up short against the Brazos Cougars, falling 3-0. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Bulldogs of the 3-0 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in September.

The match finished with set scores of 25-9, 25-9, 25-15.

Brazos got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Kendall Macha out in front who had 13 digs and two aces. Macha is on a roll when it comes to digs, as she's now had 13 or more in the last three games she's played dating back to last season. The team also got some help courtesy of Symantha King, who had six digs and ten assists.

Hitchcock's defeat dropped their record down to 6-17. As for Brazos, the victory was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 16-23.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Hitchcock's road trip will continue as they head out to face Boling at 4:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Brazos, they will head out to challenge East Bernard at 4:30 p.m. on Friday. East Bernard is coming into the game with six straight wins at home, so Brazos will have to stop a squad with plenty of momentum.
