Recap: Newcastle Dogies vs. Glenrock Herders
The Newcastle Dogies's game last Saturday was a tough loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Friday. They managed a 42-37 win over Glenrock. That result was just more of the same for these two, as Newcastle also won the last time the pair played back in February of 2023.
Newcastle got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Jayde Harrington out in front who dropped a double-double on 15 points and ten rebounds. Sydney Pederson was another key contributor, scoring 11 points along with eight rebounds and two steals.
Newcastle pushed their record up to 7-6 with that win, which was their third straight at home. As for Glenrock, their loss dropped their record down to 2-5.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Newcastle won't have much time to rest: their next match is against Wheatland at 2:00 p.m. on January 27th. As for Glenrock, they will head out on the road to square off against Rawlins at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in Wyoming (Rawlins is ranked 51st, while Glenrock is ranked 46th).
