Football Game Preview: Dixon Rams vs. Woodland Wolves + Official Tickets

The Dixon Rams will head out to challenge the Woodland Wolves at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Dixon has given up an average of 35.8 points per game this season, but Friday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

Dixon is coming in off a wild two-game stretch: after soaring to 44 points back in September, they were much more limited against Sutter last Friday. They were dealt a 62-12 defeat at the hands of the Huskies. The Rams have struggled against the Huskies recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive lost matchup.

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Woodland). They secured a 26-21 W over Natomas on Friday.

Dixon better keep an eye on Joe Abarca. He was instrumental in Woodland's win, throwing for 304 yards and four touchdowns while picking up 12.7 yards per attempt. The dominant performance also gave Abarca a new career-high in passer rating (149.3).

Woodland didn't let much get past them through the air: they limited Natomas to a completion percentage of just 35.3%. The Wolves weren't nearly as limited: they posted one of 66.7%.

Woodland's first victory this season bumped their record up to 1-6. As for Dixon, their loss dropped their record down to 2-4.

Dixon strolled past Woodland when the teams last played back in October of 2024 by a score of 21-3. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Rams since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
