Volleyball Recap: Olathe Comes Up Short + How To Watch

Olathe was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They came up short against the Meeker Cowboys, falling 3-0. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Pirates of the 3-0 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in October of 2024.

Olathe took the loss but they managed to make steady progress, increasing their score in every set they played. The match finished with set scores of 25-17, 25-19, 25-20.

Maryann Fassett paced Olathe's offense, picking up eight kills. Fassett got some help from Haley Cox and her 11 assists.

Braydin Raley went supernova For Meeker., getting 19 digs and one assist. Raley is on a roll when it comes to digs, as she's now had 11 or more in each of the last six games she's played.

Olathe's loss dropped their record down to 5-16. As for Meeker, they are on a roll lately: they've won nine of their last 11 contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 12-5 record this season.

Olathe will venture away from home to take on Cedaredge at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Meeker, they have already played their next match, a 3-0 win against Vail Mountain on the 27th.
