Softball Recap: San Pedro Snags 12th Victory in Last 13 Games

There's no place like home for San Pedro, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Monday. They never let the Gardena Panthers get on the board and left with a 17-0 victory on Thursday. The Pirates might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won seven games by six runs or more this season.

Maya Sindicich was a major factor no matter where she played. She kept things locked down with no earned runs or hits while striking out eight over five innings pitched. Those eight strikeouts gave her a new career-high. She was also big at the plate, going 2-for-3 with four RBI, one run, and one double.

In other batting news, Brianna Rodela was incredible, going 3-for-4 with three runs, three RBI, and one triple. Another player making a difference was Dahlia Davila, who went 2-for-3 with three runs and two doubles.

San Pedro always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .750. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.

San Pedro has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 12 of their last 13 matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 15-3 record this season. Those wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.9 runs on average over those games. As for Gardena, they are on a nine-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-10.
