Volleyball Recap: Buffalo Takes a Loss

Buffalo was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They fell 3-1 to the Newcastle Dogies. Unfortunately, that's the third time they've come up short against the Dogies this season, with their most recent loss being a 3-1 defeat back in September.

Avery Paulson paced Buffalo's offense, picking up eight kills. Paulson got some help from Rhemy Hicks and her 18 assists. Hicks was also solid from the service line: she led the team with four aces.

Buffalo's loss dropped their record down to 6-21. As for Newcastle, they pushed their record up to 12-16 with the win, which was their third straight at home.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: the Dogies beat Buffalo by a score of 3-0 later that day.
