Basketball Recap: Grayson Boustead's Big Game Can't Quite Lead Northgate over College Park

Northgate has been a dominant force so far, but they're in the middle of a mini-slump at the moment. They came up short against the College Park Falcons on Friday, falling 69-48. The Broncos were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 34-13.

Northgate lost despite a true team effort on offense, the best among them being Grayson Boustead, who posted nine points and five boards. Another player making a difference was Santi Borvice, who scored seven points.

College Park's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Mathys Joseph, who put up 18 points and eight rebounds. What's more, Joseph also racked up two steals, the most he's had since back in January of 2024. Miles Cooper was another key player, putting up 17 points.

Northgate's defeat dropped their record down to 12-6. As for College Park, they have been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six games, which provided a nice bump to their 11-7 record this season.

Northgate will challenge Alameda at 2:15 p.m. on Monday. Alameda will roll in looking for their fifth straight victory, something Northgate surely won't give up without a fight. College Park has already played their next matchup (against De Anza), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
