Basketball Recap: Pike Valley Snaps Three-Game Streak of Losses at Home

Pike Valley won the last time they faced Stockton, and Dayton Reeves did his part to make sure it happened again. The Pike Valley Panthers strolled past the Stockton Tigers with points to spare on Friday, taking the game 52-36 thanks in part to Reeves, who almost dropped a double-double on 12 points and nine steals. The dominant performance gave him a new career-high in steals.

Andrew Cooper was another key player, putting up nine points along with seven rebounds and five steals. He has been hot recently, having posted three or more steals the last three times he's played.

Pike Valley's victory ended a three-game drought at home and bumped them up to 6-9. As for Stockton, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 4-12.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. A feisty cat fight is on tap when the Pike Valley Panthers challenge the Natoma Tigers at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Stockton, they will head out to take on Lincoln at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
