Football Game Preview: Oakdale Eagles vs. Rockwood Tigers + How To Watch

Oakdale is 0-3 against Rockwood since October of 2021 but things could change on Friday. The Eagles will host the Tigers at 7:00 p.m. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.

Oakdale had taken Wartburg Central down for two straight games at home, but that winning streak came to an end on Friday. The Eagles took a 22-16 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Bulldogs.

Meanwhile, it was a proper cat-fight when Rockwood faced off against Oliver Springs on Friday. The Tigers were just a hair shy of victory and fell 28-27 to the Bobcats. The Tigers haven't had much luck with the Bobcats recently, as the team has come up short the last four times they've met.

Oakdale will have to contain Jayden Davidson as he made an impact in Rockwood's last game. He rushed for 130 yards and a pair of scores while picking up 8.1 yards per carry. Davidson also punched in two rushing touchdowns, which is notable because Rockwood is 2-1 when he posts at least two rushing touchdowns, but 1-2 otherwise. Adrian Darby was in the mix as well, providing the Tigers with two touchdowns.

Rockwood's loss dropped their record down to 3-3. As for Oakdale, their defeat dropped their record down to an identical 3-3.
