Hernando proved they can win big on Thursday (they won by six) and on Saturday they proved they can win the close ones too. Their defense stepped up to hand the Madison Central Jaguars a 1-0 shutout. Hernando's defense has been rock solid lately; the team hasn't given up a goal in their last three contests.

Their one-goal win came courtesy of Aubrey Morrow, who's now up to three this season.

Hernando's victory bumped their record up to 4-0.

Coming up, Hernando will take on Oxford at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Madison Central, they didn't take long to hit the pitch again: they've already played their next match, a 1-0 win against Tupelo on the 8th.
