Baseball Recap: North Royalton Victorious

North Royalton won the last time they faced Solon and things went their way on Thursday too. The Bears walked away with a 6-1 victory over the Comets. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Bears.

Ben Baracz spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered only one earned run on six hits. He has been consistent: he hasn't given up more than two walks in six consecutive appearances.

At the plate, Jackson Cavanaugh was excellent, going 1-for-3 with two runs and one triple. He has become a key player for North Royalton: the team is undefeated when he posts at least two runs, but 6-8 otherwise.

North Royalton now has a winning record of 9-8. As for Solon, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-11.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. North Royalton will square off against Olmsted Falls at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. The Bears are facing the Bulldogs at the right time seeing as the Bulldogs are stuck on a five-game losing streak. As for Solon, they will challenge Firelands at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday.
