Basketball Game Preview: Kennedy Catholic Lancers vs. Auburn Trojans

Kennedy Catholic has won six straight games at home, while Auburn has won six straight on the road dating back to last season, but those streaks won't matter much on Tuesday. Having just played yesterday, the Kennedy Catholic Lancers will get right back to it and host the Auburn Trojans at 7:00 p.m. Both come into the contest bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

On Monday, Kennedy Catholic sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 54-51 win over Bellarmine Prep.

Meanwhile, Auburn didn't have too much trouble with Mt. Rainier on Friday as they won 67-51. Given the Trojans' advantage in MaxPreps' Washington basketball rankings (they are ranked fourth, while the Rams are ranked 138th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Kennedy Catholic has also been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last seven matches, which provided a massive bump to their 9-6 record this season. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 58.0 points per game. As for Auburn, their victory bumped their record up to 15-1.
