Volleyball Recap: North Kingstown Extends Home Winning Streak to 15

North Kingstown faced Cranston East in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Thursday. The Skippers came out on top against the Thunderbolts by a score of 3-1. The win continues a trend for the Skippers in their matchups with the Thunderbolts: they've now won five in a row.

North Kingstown walked away with the victory (and looked especially good in the second set). Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-18, 25-13, 21-25, 25-16.

Leading North Kingstown to victory were Jayden Yang and Stephen Dufour. Yang had nine digs and two aces, while Dufour had 11 digs and two assists. Those nine digs gave Yang a new career-high.

They weren't the only good server: North Kingstown was lethal from the service line and finished the game with ten aces. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now served at least eight aces in three consecutive contests.

North Kingstown pushed their record up to 6-0 with the win, which was their 15th straight at home dating back to last season. As for Cranston East, their defeat dropped their record down to 3-3.
