The Shorecrest Prep Chargers will head out on the road to face off against the Seminole Warhawks at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Shorecrest Prep is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 9.9 runs per game this season.

Shorecrest Prep took a 12-run loss the last time they faced off against Saint Stephen's Episcopal, but this time they managed to keep it close and that made all the difference. The Chargers skirted past the Falcons 5-3.

Shorecrest Prep got a big performance out of Paige Conroy, who went 3-for-4 with two RBI and one double. Another player making a difference was Lauren Sas, who scored a run while getting on base in all four of her plate appearances.

The home team had won the previous three meetings between Seminole and Northeast, and Northeast kept the tradition alive. The Warhawks lost 9-2 to the Vikings last Tuesday.

Seminole saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Kaydin Whitenton, who scored a run and stole a base while going 1-for-2.

Shorecrest Prep is on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last nine games. That's provided a nice bump to their 10-3 record this season. Those wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.7 runs on average over those games. As for Seminole, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost seven of their last eight matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 5-10 record this season.

Shorecrest Prep suffered a grim 13-3 defeat to Seminole in their previous matchup back in April of 2024. Can the Chargers avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
