Preview: Xavier Falcons vs. East Hartford Hornets
The Xavier Falcons will be playing in front of their home fans against the East Hartford Hornets at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Xavier will be strutting in after a victory while East Hartford will be coming in after a loss.
Xavier posted their closest victory yet this season on Monday. They came out on top in a nail-biter against Fairfield Prep and snuck past 51-48. Given Xavier's advantage in MaxPreps' Connecticut basketball rankings (they are ranked 31st, while Fairfield Prep is ranked 116th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Meanwhile, East Hartford pushed their score all the way to 76 on Monday, but even that wasn't enough to win. They fell to Manchester 81-76. It was the first time this season that East Hartford let down their fans at home.
The victory makes it two in a row for Xavier and bumps their season record up to 9-3. As for East Hartford, their defeat ended a four-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 6-4.
