Basketball Recap: Montague Comes Up Short

Montague was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They were outmatched by the Mason County Central Spartans and fell 65-38. The Wildcats were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Spartans apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in December of 2023.

Montague's defeat dropped their record down to 4-17. As for Mason County Central, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 13-9.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Montague will welcome Oakridge at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. One thing working in Oakridge's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last five games. As for Mason County Central, they will be playing at home against Hesperia at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
