Volleyball Recap: Torres Comes Up Short

Torres was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They fell 3-1 to the Maywood CES Wolfpack. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Wolfpack this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 3-0 back in March.

While Torres ultimately came up short, they really made Maywood CES work, particularly in the fourth set. The final score came out to 25-14, 22-25, 25-20, 26-24.

Torres' loss dropped their record down to 2-11. As for Maywood CES, their win ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 9-7.

Coming up, Torres will venture away from home to take on Maywood Academy at 3:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Toros are facing the Nighthawks at the right time seeing as the Nighthawks are stuck on a 13-game losing streak. As for Maywood CES, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Sotomayor at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday.
