Connersville hadn't done well against Batesville recently (they were 1-8 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Friday. Despite the loss, Batesville still got an impressive performance from Zadiin Small, who rushed for 166 yards and a pair of touchdowns while picking up 9.8 yards per carry. Small also punched in two rushing touchdowns, which is notable because the Bulldogs are 2-1 when he posts at least two rushing touchdowns, but 1-5 otherwise.

Connersville's victory was their first in the conference, bumping their conference record up to 1-2 and their overall record up to 4-5. As for Batesville, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-6.
