Connersville hadn't done well against Batesville recently (they were 1-8 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way  on Friday. The Spartans walked away with  a   41-34  victory over the Bulldogs. The  win was some much needed relief for the Spartans as it spelled an end to their four-game losing streak.

Connersville's  victory was their first in the conference, bumping their conference record up to 1-2 and their overall record up to 4-5. As for Batesville,  they are  on  a  five-game losing streak  that has dropped them down to 3-6.
 Connersville has already played their next matchup,  a  35-14  loss against Shelbyville on the 24th. As for Batesville, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next  game,  a  33-14  defeat against Franklin County on the 24th.
