Basketball Game Preview: Kennedale Wildcats vs. Celina Bobcats

A feisty cat fight will be fought when the Wildcats duke it out with the Bobcats at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. Kennedale has been dominant on offense recently, having racked up an incredible 207 points over their last three contests.

Kennedale is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Monday. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat Carter 59-21. Given the Wildcats' advantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 389th, while the Cowboys are ranked 980th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Meanwhile, Celina beat Ranchview 45-36 on Monday. The Bobcats haven't had any issues with the Wolves recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive victory against them.

Kennedale has been performing well recently as they've won seven of their last nine matches, which provided a massive bump to their 17-15 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 54.0 points over those games. As for Celina, they now have a winning record of 15-14.

Kennedale took their win against Celina in their previous matchup back in February of 2022 by a conclusive 59-34. Will Kennedale repeat their success, or does Celina have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
