Baseball Game Preview: West End Patriots vs. Vinemont Eagles

The West End Patriots will square off against the Vinemont Eagles at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday. Having both just faced considerable losses, both teams are looking to turn things around.

West End came into their game on Wednesday off a hard-fought close win, but unfortunately suffered a serious change of fortune. They lost 20-10 to Oneonta.

Meanwhile, Vinemont unfortunately witnessed the end of their three-game winning streak on Friday. They came up short against West Point, falling 12-2. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest defeat the Eagles have suffered since April 19, 2024.

Vinemont saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Joshua Rhodes, who went a perfect 1-for-1 with one home run.

West End's loss ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 5-5. Those victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 14.0 runs over those games. As for Vinemont, their defeat dropped their record down to 16-5.
