It was a good run, but Coastal Christian unfortunately witnessed the end of their four-match winning streak on Thursday. While the 1-1 score might suggest a draw, it was the Cape Fear Academy Hurricanes who were credited with the win. The Cape Fear Academy Hurricanes got it done in the shootout by posting four goals to the Coastal Christian Centurions' two. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against Cape Fear Academy this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 3-0 back in September.

Coastal Christian's loss dropped their record down to 14-6. As for Cape Fear Academy, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won ten of their last 11 matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 13-5-1 record this season.

As of now, neither Coastal Christian nor Cape Fear Academy have any future games scheduled.
