Volleyball Recap: Rusk Comes Up Short

Rusk was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their sixth straight defeat dating back to last season. They fell 2-0 to the Henderson Lions. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Eagles of the 3-2 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in August of 2021.

While Rusk had to settle for second, they sure made a game of it, scoring at least 18 points in every set they played. The match finished with set scores of 25-21, 25-18.

Rusk's defeat dropped their record down to 0-4. As for Henderson, they now have a winning record of 3-2.

Coming up, Rusk will square off against West Rusk at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Henderson, they didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 2-1 win against Diboll on the 16th.
