 Phil Campbell and Tharptown are an even 5-5 against one another  since March of 2016, but likely not for long. The Phil Campbell Bobcats will head out on the road to  face off against  the Tharptown Wildcats at 4:30  p.m.  on Thursday. The pair have had a bumpy ride up to this point with four consecutive losses for Phil Campbell and seven for Tharptown.
 Phil Campbell fell victim to Colbert Heights and their airtight pitching crew  on Tuesday. They wound up on the wrong side of a  rough 15-0 walloping at the hands of the Wildcats. That's two games in a row now that Phil Campbell has lost by  exactly 15  runs.
 Phil Campbell saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was  Siddalee Rogers, who  went 1-for-2 with a  stolen base.
 Meanwhile, it was a hard-fought  matchup, but Tharptown had to settle for  an  8-7 defeat against Athens Bible on Tuesday. That's two games in a row now that Tharptown has lost by  just one  run.
  Alyssa Fisher put in work no matter where she played. On the mound, she  tossed seven innings while giving up just two earned  (and six unearned) runs off   eight  hits (she also didn't allow any  walks). Fisher has been consistent recently: she hasn't  given up  more than two  walks in three consecutive pitching appearances. Fisher was also big at the plate,  scoring two  runs while going 1-for-3.
 In other batting news,  Allie Gann and  Harleigh Borden stepped up to the plate in a big way.  Gann  scored three  runs and  stole a base while  getting on base  in two of her four plate appearances, while  Borden  went 1-for-4 with three  RBI and a  stolen base. The team also got some help courtesy of  Lexi Little, who  went 1-for-3 with two  RBI.
 Phil Campbell's record is now 4-15. As for Tharptown, their record is now 9-13-1.
 Phil Campbell came up short against Tharptown in their previous meeting  back in April of 2023, falling  7-4. Can Phil Campbell avenge their  loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
