There's no place like home for the Oak Hill Academy - Red Warriors, who bounced back after a tough loss on the road last Tuesday. They enjoyed a cozy 78-59 victory over Charlotte Elite Academy on Saturday. Having run the score up that high, both teams might be doing some extra defensive drills very soon.
Despite the loss, Charlotte Elite Academy still got an impressive performance from Jared Taylor, who dropped a double-double on 30 points and 14 rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Gavin Jones, who scored seven points along with five assists.
Oak Hill Academy - Red's victory was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 17-8. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 89.3 points per game. As for Charlotte Elite Academy, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost three of their last four contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 13-8 record this season.
Oak Hill Academy - Red will look to defend their home court on Friday against Winston-Salem Christian at 6:30 p.m. Oak Hill Academy - Red knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with flashy point totals in its past 14 matchups -- so hopefully Winston-Salem Christian likes a good challenge. Charlotte Elite Academy does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
