Soccer Recap: Woodside Extends Winning Streak to Seven

It's playoff time, and Woodside had no trouble coming through when it counted. Their defense stepped up to hand the Granby Comets a 3-0 shutout on Thursday. Woodside might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won seven matchups by three goals or more this season.

The win (which was Woodside's seventh in a row) raised their record to 11-6. The victories came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only given up three goals over those seven contests. As for Granby, their loss dropped their record down to 9-4-3.

Coming up, Woodside will square off against Maury at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Woodside will need to watch out since Maury have now posted at least four goals in their last three games. Granby does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
