Basketball Recap: Hulett Takes a Loss

Hulett came into their game on Thursday off a hard-fought close win, but unfortunately suffered a serious change of fortune. They lost 42-17 to the Edgemont Moguls. The Devils have struggled against the Moguls recently, as the game was their eighth consecutive lost matchup.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Edgemont to victory, but perhaps none more so than Hadley Hollenbeck, who went 6 of 10 on her way to 13 points along with six boards and three steals. Hollenbeck is also on a roll when it comes to field goal percentage, as she's posted one of at least 45% in the last four games she's played. Another player making a difference was Sydney Jarding, who almost dropped a double-double with nine points and nine rebounds.

Hulett's loss dropped their record down to 2-9. As for Edgemont, they are on a roll lately: they've won six of their last seven matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 11-3 record this season.

Hulett wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 37-18 defeat against Kaycee on the 7th. As for Edgemont, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 52-43 win against Newell on the 7th.
