Recap: Wakefield Wolverines vs. Enloe Eagles
The Wakefield Wolverines have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won six matchups by 31 points or more this season. They blew past Enloe 82-3 at home. Wakefield's offense stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most points they've scored all season.
Aly Schaffer was her usual excellent self, going 10 for 18 from beyond the arc en route to 30 points and 0 assists. That's the first time this season that she scored 15 or more points. Another player making a difference was Maddison Mcintyre, who scored six points along with six rebounds and five assists.
Wakefield's win was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 6-2. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 71.8 points per game. As for Enloe, they still haven't won a game yet this season and fell to 0-6.
Wakefield and Elizabeth Seton will round out the year against one another at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday at. Elizabeth Seton presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Wakefield in their respective states (Elizabeth Seton is ranked fifth in Maryland, while Wakefield is ranked 188th in North Carolina). Enloe won't have much time to rest: their next game is against Southern Alamance at 6:00 p.m. on December 20th.
