Softball Recap: High Point Central's Win Ends Four-Game Losing Streak on the Road

High Point Central won the last time they faced Dudley and things went their way on Friday too. The Bison were the clear victors by a 21-4 margin over the Panthers. The Bison might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won four games by ten runs or more this season.

Robles Natalie made a big impact no matter where she played. On the mound, she struck out six batters over five innings while giving up four earned runs off three hits. Natalie was also stellar in the batter's box, going 3-for-5 with one home run, two stolen bases, and two runs.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Leah Ellerby, who went 4-for-6 with one home run, five RBI, and three runs. Those five RBI gave her a new career-high. Idalis Underhill was another key player, getting on base in four of her seven plate appearances with one home run, three runs, and two RBI.

High Point Central always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .603. They are a perfect 4-0 when they post an OBP of .513 or better.

High Point Central's victory ended a four-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 5-4. As for Dudley, they dropped their record down to 2-8 with the loss, which was their third straight at home.
