Volleyball Recap: Washington Township Continues Home Dominance on Thursday

The Washington Township Senators made easy work of the DeMotte Christian Knights on Thursday and carried off a 3-0 win. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Senators.

Not only was the match a shutout, it was a big one: Washington Township took every set by at least 15 points. The final score came out to 25-9, 25-2, 25-10.

Ryan Brinkley paced Washington Township's offense, picking up ten kills. Brinkley got some help from Aiden Armstrong and his 20 assists. Armstrong was also solid from the service line: he led the team with eight aces.

Washington Township's victory was their seventh straight at home, which pushed their record up to 15-3. As for DeMotte Christian, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 1-6.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Washington Township will challenge Benton HomeSchool at 6:30 p.m. on Saturday. As for DeMotte Christian, they will welcome Hebron at 5:00 p.m. on Friday.
