Riverside falls despite strong effort from Kennis Gray

On Thursday, Riverside was within striking distance but couldn't close the gap as they fell 41-35 to Nease.

When it comes to explaining why Riverside lost, one person who can't be blamed is Kennis Gray. Despite the final result, she dropped a double-double on 13 points and ten rebounds. Those ten rebounds set a new season-high mark for her. Sevyn Ball was another key contributor, scoring nine points.

Nease's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Shruthika Kondabrolu, who scored 13 points. Those 13 points set a new season-high mark for her. The team also got some help courtesy of Audrey Rollins, who scored 11 points along with seven rebounds.

Riverside's loss dropped their record down to 5-5. As for Nease, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 5-5.
