Baseball Recap: Buena Park's Losing Streak Is a Thing of the Past

Buena Park posted their closest win since April 25, 2024 on Friday. They came out on top against the Kennedy Fighting Irish by a score of 4-3 (the very same score they lost by in their prior game). The victory was a breath of fresh air for the Coyotes as it put an end to their four-game losing streak.

Noah Sanchez looked comfortable as he tossed two innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. He has become a key player for Buena Park: the team is 2-1 when he allows at most one hit, but 5-9 otherwise.

At the plate, Buena Park's win was truly a team effort as five different players contributed at least one hit. One of them was Joshua Santillian, who scored a run while going 2-for-4. Izeah Reyes was another, scoring a run and stealing two bases.

Buena Park's victory was their first in the league, bumping their league record up to 1-4 and their overall record up to 7-10. As for Kennedy, their loss dropped their record down to 10-9.

Looking ahead, Buena Park will head out on the road to square off against Wiseburn- Da Vinci at 7:00 p.m. on Saturday. As for Kennedy, they will venture away from home to face off against Orange at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday.
