Soccer Game Recap: Roosevelt vs. A Plus Academy

After flying high against the Madison Trojans last Saturday, the Roosevelt Mustangs came back down to earth. Roosevelt took a 4-2 hit to the loss column at the hands of A Plus Academy on Saturday. Roosevelt has struggled against A Plus Academy recently, as their contest on Saturday was their third consecutive lost matchup.

Jeff Elizalde wasn't going to let A Plus Academy walk away unscathed as he scored both of Roosevelt's goals. With that big game, he's now up to 12 goals this season.

Roosevelt now has a losing record at 3-4-1. As for A Plus Academy, the victory (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 4-2-1.

Coincidentally, the two teams will both be playing Wilmer-Hutchins the next time they take the pitch. Roosevelt will host Wilmer-Hutchins at 11:45 a.m. on Wednesday, while A Plus Academy will head out to face them at 11:45 a.m. on Saturday.
