Recap: Texas Tigers vs. Marshall Mavericks
The Texas Tigers scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Tuesday. They took their matchup at home with ease, bagging a 74-40 win over Marshall. The victory was familiar territory for Texas who now have three in a row.
Marshall lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Avah Flanagan, who scored 22 points. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Flanagan has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of Alyssa Helton, who scored two points along with five assists and five rebounds.
Texas' win bumped their record up to 14-8. As for Marshall, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 6-19.
Texas will head out on the road to challenge Whitehouse at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Whitehouse will be looking to extend their current four-game winning streak. As for Marshall, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Longview at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. Longview is looking to tack on another W to their four-game streak on the road.
