Football Game Preview: Northside Rams vs. Demopolis Tigers + How To Watch

The Northside Rams will head out on the road to face off against the Demopolis Tigers at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Each of these teams will be fighting to keep a win streak alive as Northside comes in on eight and Demopolis on six.

Last Friday, Northside got the win against Jemison by a conclusive 49-25. Fans of the Rams have seen this all before: every one of the games they've played this season has ended in a blowout of 20+ points.

Northside's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Bennett Green led the charge by rushing for 187 yards and two TDs while picking up 11.7 yards per carry, and also picking up 36 receiving yards. Green's rushing production has been exceptional recently as that marked his third straight game with at least 123 rushing yards dating back to last season. Ethan Traywick was in the mix as well, providing Northside with three scores.

Meanwhile, it was a proper cat-fight when Demopolis duked it out with Jemison on Friday. The Tigers blew past the Panthers 35-8. The final result isn't all that surprising considering the Tigers' considerable advantage in MaxPreps' Alabama football rankings (they are ranked 112th, while the Panthers are ranked 277th).

Demopolis' win came from a few key players Northside will need to keep an eye on. One of the most notable was Kaleb Branch, who rushed for 71 yards and one touchdown on only five carries. Jw McAlpine was another key passer, throwing for 201 yards and one TD.

Wins are hard to come by when you can't run the rock, something Demopolis proved: they limited Jemison to a paltry 2.1 yards per carry. The Tigers didn't have any issues in that department, having averaged 8.8.

Northside's record is now 8-0. As for Demopolis, their record now sits at 6-2.

Northside might still be hurting after the 41-20 defeat they got from Demopolis in their previous meeting back in October of 2024. Can the Rams avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
