Volleyball Game Preview: Northwest Classical Academy Spartans vs. Atlanta Classical Academy Cavaliers

Northwest Classical Academy is preparing for their first region matchup of the season on Tuesday. They will challenge the Atlanta Classical Academy Cavaliers at 6:30 p.m. Both come into the match bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Northwest Classical Academy took a three-set loss the last time they faced off against Praise Academy, but this time they managed to keep it close and that made all the difference. The Spartans came out on top in a nail-biter against the Lions on Friday, sneaking past 3-2.

Northwest Classical Academy was actually outscored in aggregate across those five sets (110-105), but they still managed to win. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-22, 13-25, 27-25, 25-27, 15-11.

Meanwhile, Atlanta Classical Academy earned a 2-0 victory over Heritage Preparatory on Wednesday.

Atlanta Classical Academy easily took the first set, but they let things get interesting in the other. The match finished with set scores of 25-13, 25-18.

Northwest Classical Academy's first win this season bumped their record up to 1-6. As for Atlanta Classical Academy, their record now sits at 2-5.

Northwest Classical Academy came up short against Atlanta Classical Academy in their previous matchup back in September of 2024, falling 2-0. Can the Spartans avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
