Baseball Recap: Waukesha South Comes Up Short

Waukesha South was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their ninth straight defeat. They took a 7-3 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Waukesha North Northstars. The Blackshirts were not able to make up for their loss to the Northstars from their previous meeting back in May of 2024.

Waukesha South saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Alex Montez, who went 1-for-2 with two runs. Montez is becoming a predictor of the Blackshirts' success: when he posts at least two runs the team is 2-1 (and 1-9 when he doesn't).

Waukesha South's record is now 3-10. As for Waukesha North, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 9-5.

We've got plenty of inter-conference action coming up soon. Waukesha South will face off against rival Waukesha West at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, Waukesha North is set to take on their familiar foe Oconomowoc at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
